The new PREMET C is a state of the technology electronic cylinder pressure indicator. All measured data can be evaluated immediately on the high resolution colour display, including all the curves and diagrams previously only known from computer based evaluation software.
The PREMET C electronic cylinder pressure indicator is available in different versions, each one optimized for the user’s needs.
The simple and self-explanatory software structure allows this versatile instrument to be operated using only four robust stainless steel buttons.
The large integrated memory allows all measurements and engine data to be stored in the instrument itself. As a matter of course the data can also be evaluated on a computer using the WPREMET or PPA software and sent by e-mail for evaluation or storage.
The heart of the instrument is the pressure sensor. Using the latest technology from Kistler Switzerland its accuracy and lifetime are setting a new standard.
Quick measurements are possible without needing to stop the engine to install sensors. For more a detailed engine analysis the PREMET C can also be equipped with a TDC sensor, which enables the instrument to measure mean indicated pressure (MIP) and indicated power.
On large slow speed engines the Multiscan-Sensor can be used to measure the crank angle with a physical resolution of 360 degrees to ensure that the measured data is of an optimum accuracy.

The PREMET online system is able to monitor and record the cylinder pressures of all cylinders of an engine permanently and in parallel. All data, e.g. Mean Indicated Pressure (MIP), maximum cylinder pressure, indicated power (KW/hp), torsional vibration and expansion pressure, is transferred to and displayed on a rugged industrial computer and can be transferred easily by e-mail. The features of the computer’s software are identical with those of the well known “PPA Premet Performance Analyser” software but include additional handling features for the online operation. All measured data can be transferred into the engine monitoring system if requested.
The system in general is Ethernet / LAN based as standard, this way the analysis of the measured data is possible from any computer connected to the local network system of the vessel or even worldwide remotely using the internet if requested.
The sensor design is based on the same reliable technology as the portable PREMET systems but has been modified to withstand the harsh conditions of online measurements. This has resulted is a hardly ever known temperature resistance and long-term linearity, enabling real 24/7 monitoring of the engine condition.
They can be connected on top of the indicator valves or directly to the cylinder head.
The cylinder pressure sensors can be cleaned using compressed air to blow residues off the measuring diaphragm and the sensor calibration can be checked on site using a standard calibration pump.
The PREMET online systems are running on many ships, power stations and oil rigs, operating on various fuel types including HFO, Diesel, LNG and even vegetable oils.
As a matter of course the sensors, which are manufactured by the Swiss company KISTLER Instrumente AG can run on all these fuels or mixtures thereof without restrictions.
Special versions, e.g. EEx certified, portable or fully redundant for loop control are available on request.

With ever increasing pressures on operating costs it is vital to have exact knowledge of all relevant parameters readily available to be able to optimize these accordingly.
The SEEAmag measures, records and analyses important data to help the user determine and improve the vessels efficiency by enabling in depth analyses and fleet comparisons.
The system consists of different modules that can be combined to monitor the specific key performance indicators needed for the specific vessel, e.g.:
